   You can’t use the clay brick because of the heat. It needs to be fire brick. Sorry

   The brick you need must be fire brickthere is danger in exploding regular brick you need must be fire brickthere is danger in exploding regular brick the brick due to air pockets inside.

   not sure why these folks think brick will explode when they have already been fired at 2000 degrees…fire brick are better but a solid red brick will need to experience temps way above what a wood stove will get to…
