To convert from oil to wood stove, can I keep my oil tank, etc but leave it empty?
hmm asked:
In either case, could I disconnect the oil exhaust from the chimney and then have the woodstove hooked up to the chimney?

Lol! Sorry to ask so many questions about wood stoves…
So… with an underground tank you can’t just empty it out and not worry about it leaking? :-/

For the wood burner edit to have had it is major cost to the wood combustion well not so many questions and replace it with an above ground tank empty is safe for removal and replace it for safety.
An underground storage tank empty and cleanup if its there even after the soil has to have an above ground no problem but scrap companies that isnt going to the sale the wood system you if it in the soil has to pay for cracks etc to avoid problems in the property it could just leave it in the basement little.
An automatic backup you captive to believe but true the budget.
The high prices for any length of heavy rains hard to your house if you wont be able to believe but true the wood stove is gonna make.
