Will a wood stove start fire to a rug made from hide about 2 feet away?
hillbilly gal asked:
This past weekend we went to visit my fiances dad and crazy step-mom. We are moving into a new house a little in the woods and we were considering putting a rug (made from animal hide) in front of our wood stove. There is about a foot and a half of bricks between the wood stove and the floor. Then the rug would be another foor or two away. I don’t think this is likely since it’s not a fireplace and won’t put off sparks in that sense. I just think it’s a really low possibility and she wanted to rain on our parade. Can someone tell me how likely this would be? Thanks a zillion!
